Savta® means 'grandma' in Hebrew. It is an old recipe from my mother. "We decided to release Savta® after our son Itamar died on the MH17 flight. He was 26 years old and studied International Business in Australia. He was a passionate salesman. We remember 'Itamars Cooking Company' established."

Savta spread consists of eggplant, bell pepper and garlic in a mix of different herbs. Savta® is more than just a spread, it is a seasoning that you can use with different dishes. The product is made according to traditional methods in Schalkwijk (near wood). It is very nice with a drink, on a toast, baguette or pita bread for dipping. Ideal as a seasoning on your sandwich, meat, fish, salad, pasta etc .. Savta® is generally served at room temperature, but can also be heated. Savta® is made without artificial preservatives, we use oil and vinegar. Savta® has a long shelf life in the refrigerator (max 7 C), even after opening the jar.
